iPod HiFi Sucks Ass

Due to my recent nano ownership I was looking forward to the release of Apple’s new iPod HiFi yesterday, and I’ve gotta say I’m a tad disappointed.
It is, as far as I can tell, just a big speaker (okay okay, not literally but… actually yeah, literally). I was hoping for an amazingly cool looking stereo complete with, dare I say it, a CD player, plus the obvious iPod ports but it’s Pod only. I’m sure the sound is amazing and it has cool features but let’s face it we buy Apple stuff ‘cos they look ace. And this doesn’t.
Design-wise it smacks of Bose. And why the iPod has to sit on top therefore ruining any chance of hassle-free middle shelf-ing it I’ll never know.
So a bit of a let-down for me, but you can’t stay mad for long… [glances down at nano on desk] aww the nano is so small!...
