Live Design: an update

It seemed a good idea at the time; upload an unfinished version of the site then it will force me to finish it as soon as poss.
It made sense to at least get the site up and running, but I wonder whether it was a good idea. I don’t want to publicise the fact this exists as it isn’t anywhere near finished and the final design will be quite a bit different, while I kind of do want to publicise that it exists as otherwise what’s the point in it existing?
I guess I’ve just got to pull my finger out and get it done (I already missed my self-imposed deadline of Jan 1); the problem is there’s a hell of a lot to do. Oh well as it is there will be ever-so-subtle changes such as the ‘post-divider’ and the comment form layout… maybe I’ll just list them as and when.
What do other ‘newbies’ do?
