Updating Static HTM-aaaarrrggghhh

Do you know what I like? I like updating static HTML web sites. It’s up there with some of my favourite things in all the World. The lack of a database adds character (to me as well as the site) and I love modifying a site, page by page by page.
I like coming in to work and knowing that I have to spend a day doing this, knowing hour by hour… I’m never getting that time back.
Who needs a helpful time-saving back-end? Not this website that’s for sure (the site I’m updating that is, not Peminoz...). Do I trust Dreamweaver’s ‘Find and Replace’? Hmmm. Hand-coding still wins for me; old habits die hard.
I think wills to live are over-rated.
Note: The site in question is actually currently undergoing an XHTML/CSS rebuild complete with .Net back-end (Hurrah!) – still gotta do temporary updates though. Sigh.
