WORiO

I stumbled across WORiO today via my logs and it looks like a good idea. Their website describes it as:

an Internet search engine created especially for computer scientists and programmers.

I’d be very interested to see how it differs from any of the big boys. With this you can specifically find:

  • Source code, tutorials, and reference material
  • Computer Science blogs, mailing lists, and research groups
  • Educational resources such as course notes and slides

Have a look. You can sign up to be notified when beta testing begins, in September 2006. Should be interesting.

Looks interesting, but I dont see how it would be much different from Google. I nearly always find exactly what I need, so why switch?

What's all this then?

Peminoz is Stu Hall's blog. Oh yes. Stu is a web guy enjoying web standards, accessibility and usability. And he's been known to talk about himself in the third person. More.
