Not updating your blog is the new Friday

Tigguo Cobauc is now Home

Well, after pretty much a full year, I have made it to Nottingham, hurrah!

I We moved on Friday, thereby ending our two year association with Leicest-oh. We finally sold our one-bed flat (it was split-level though, a trendy New York style loft appartment…) and have now moved into a nice, 3-bed house in Beeston (really it’s Chilwell, but the Royal Mail database says Beeston and who am I to argue?). Cool. I do feel a bit more grown up now, it’s a bit of a grown up house. Gulp.

Unfortunately the previous residents had passed away and leave no family so we have the unenviable task of clearing all their belongings before we can properly move in. So we’ve completely packed and boxed up our own stuff, now we have to do the same with theirs before we can unpack everything. Joy of joys.

I forgot how knackering moving is. Washing machines sure aint light, especially when moving from the second floor of a building with no lift. That was fun. Still, cleaning out other people’s hair from the shower that hadn’t been used for over six months was a memory I’ll cherish. Barf.

I was thinking this morning when I was on the train from my new station (which beautifully adds an extra hour on to my journey time each day); this is the tenth time I’ve moved house. I am 26. Does that seem a lot or does everyone move loads?

Right so just have to knock down a couple of walls and completely redecorate every single room now. Simple.

Oh, I got it from Wikipedia.
