A Surprise in Chester

I We went to Chester last weekend for a few days, for a little birthday break to get away from the building site that is my house.
We were walking up the high street, Watergate St I think, and saw a crowd of people surrounding a car taking loads of pics. Obviously this being Cheshire it could have been any number of megastars, footballers or even, I wish, Hollyoaks ‘actors’. As is human nature we popped over to have a look, but no, there was nobody famous there… everyone was more interested in the car. So what car would get this much attention? The DeLorian from Back to the Future? KITT? Postman Pat’s van? Nope, t’was a Bugatti Veyron:
Obviously the picture isn’t great but I thought it had to be taken anyway to show the mass scramble for a piece of Veyron action. I’ve got to say it is a bit spesh.
I’m not convinced about the different colours (the one in Chester was black with cream bits) but I’ve now seen one in ‘real life’ so in your face. Ha ha.
On a side note, Peminoz was 1 on Sunday :o)

I was there too and can confirm that also the leather interior was cream. Also the owner had left a rather cheap looking pair of knitted gloves on the central console (sounds better than arm-rest). Maybe buying and running the car leaves no spare cash for expensive woolens?

Personally, I don’t think it’s that pretty to look at. But it is awe-inspiring purely because of what it is. 1000bhp for crying out loud. Leather seats, a stereo and faster than an F1 car… brilliant.

I was there on 18th Feb when the couple drove up in the Veyron and managed to get a couple of photos before the crowds gathered. The registration was BUL5. Anyone know who’s car it was? The couple who got out didn’t look very famous and were laughing to each other when the crowd took a quick glance at the driver and then all attention was on the car!
